About UVA Summer Camp
UC Berkeley Youth Recreation has a deep history of offering quality youth programs to families across the Bay Area for over 60 years. We are especially excited to be able to offer youth programming at University Village Albany (UVA) beginning in the summer of 2024. Summer camps at UVA are designed to expose campers to a wide range of activities that encourage them to challenge themselves and build upon their social-emotional skills.
This program grew from the recognition that all children need opportunities to play and engage in activities that foster both a sense of confidence and community. The UVA Summer Camp offers comprehensive recreational programming for campers aged 5 to 12 years old and combines developmentally appropriate sports, outdoor learning, arts, science, and group games to create a fun and well rounded camp experience.
Age & Eligibility
- Ages 5-7 by June 1, 2024. All participants must be fully toilet trained, and able to use the restroom independently
- Ages 8-12 by June 1, 2024.

Daily Camp Schedule: 9:00AM – 4:30PM

In addition, teens ages 13-14 (who have completed 8th-10th grade) can register as Campers in Leadership Training (CILT) at UVA Summer Camp. CILTs are campers who can start building leadership and career skills in a fun camp environment.
Morning Extended Care Options
Extend your child(ren)’s camp day, and rest easy knowing that you have some extra time to get through traffic or grab a coffee before heading to work or your morning class!
