Join the campus community in learning about, from Olympic athletes, the sport of goalball – a Paralympic sport similar to soccer designed for the blind or visually impaired where the offense rolls the ball in a bowling motion using their hands while the defense tries to guard their position using only the sound of the bells in the ball– at the Inclusive Recreation Goalball Showcase taking place 2–4 p.m., March 15 at the Recreational Sports Facility (RSF).
This event is free to attend and attendees are encouraged to join in on the fun – after learning the fundamentals of the sport, participants will play a full game guided by accredited referees and expert Goalball athletes. All equipment will be provided to participants.
