- Weight Room Guidelines
By using our weight room facilities you are agreeing to abide by Recreation & Wellbeing's Community Agreements.
Fitstaff are available in the weight rooms and cardio areas to answer your questions and respond to concerns. If unsure about how to use equipment, please check in with Fitstaff to ensure that it is being used in accordance with its intended purpose. Fitstaff are also available to assist members when they need a weight lifting assist or spot.
Please be courteous and return equipment to its original condition or location, allow members to “work in”, and wipe down equipment after use.
For your safety, collars are required on bars at all times. Olympic Lifting is not allowed in the weight rooms and is available on Recreation & Wellbeing's lower level Court 14. Chalk may not be used within Recreation & Wellbeing's facilities.
For cardio activities such as plyometrics, shadow boxing, or jump rope that are not permitted in the weight rooms, please use an available court or exercise studio.
Only Recreation & Wellbeing personal trainers and instructors are allowed to coach or train other members within the recreational facilities.
- Payment and Refunds
Payment for fee-based training sessions or classes must be received in advance of meeting with your trainer or instructor.
To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact your trainer/instructor at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment. Otherwise, you may be charged for the missed session (s). Instructional Classes are subject to cancellations for low enrollment, for which you will receive a full refund. Non-attendance in a program is not grounds for a refund and classes can not be prorated.
We ask all clients to arrive on time for their appointments to obtain their greatest benefit from the session. Trainers will wait 15 minutes for a scheduled client, after which time the session is subject to cancellation and clients may be charged for a full session.
Personal and Pilates training refunds will be issued upon request based on the non-discounted current price of service. For Instructional Classes (e.g. Tennis), refunds are available prior to the start date of any class. Non-attendance in a program is not grounds for a refund and classes cannot be prorated.
