Science & Sports Camp
Multi-Activity | Grades 1-6 | Extended Care | Staff Ratio 1:8
Develop your mind and body at Science and Sports Camp (S2), a partnership between Lawrence Hall of Science (LHS) and Strawberry Canyon Youth Programs. Campers will spend the morning at Lawrence Hall of Science, and the afternoon participating in fun and instructional sports activities at either the Strawberry Canyon Rec Area (SCRA) or the Golden Bear Rec Center (GBRC), depending on grade level. Campers in grades 1-3 go to SCRA and those in grades 4-6 go to GBRC. Supervised transportation is provided between each site.

Camp Details
Morning Schedule : Lawrence Hall of Science
- Explore the fascinating world of science and mathematics at the world renowned Lawrence Hall of Science.
- Original themes provide campers with hands-on experience building and creating interactive projects (see specific session for info on themes).
Afternoon Schedule: Strawberry Canyon Youth Camp
- Campers participate in 3 sports activities, one of which is American Red Cross swimming lessons.
- Campers in grades 1-3 are pre-assigned activities and are grouped with kids in the same grade.
- Campers in grades 4-6 choose from a select number of traditional and non-traditional sports.
- We will email or call campers within the week before their session starts to ascertain their preferences from the activity selections offered that session. Campers are grouped depending upon the activities they select.

Extended Care
If your child needs supervision outside of our regularly scheduled hours, sign up for the Extended Care program. Our staff engages campers in active or quiet play during our morning (7:30 — 9:00A) and evening (4:00 — 5.30P) Extended Care programs.
Need extended care for just one day? No need to pre-enroll. Simply complete a short form and submit it along with your payment to the S2 Camp Coordinators on the morning of that day. Price: $15 per time slot.
