Lifeguards

Lifeguards

Enforce pool safety rules, rescue distressed or drowning persons, and provide first aid.  Assist users with membership services including program schedules, facility amenities, and general information. Answer facility and program related questions.  Open and close facility when needed. Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. This is a year round position for UCB students. The lifeguard position requires weekend, evening and holiday work as well as work during quarter breaks.

Qualifications

Current certifications of American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and First Aid.

Pay Rate: $12.35 per hour

Work Hours: Students may work 5-20 hrs/wk during the quarter and up to 40 hours per during the academic breaks.
